Dreame electric SUV inspired by the Rolls-Royce Cullinan is due in 2027

After the Bugatti Chiron, Dreame Technology - best known for its smart vacuum cleaners and other household products - has once again taken inspiration from an automotive icon for its first electric SUV: the Rolls-Royce Cullinan.

The new model is expected to reach the market in 2027, featuring a 3.2-metre wheelbase, rear-hinged doors and an all-electric powertrain.

Dreame’s move into luxury vehicles

Dreame revealed its move into the luxury car industry in August through two separate divisions: Dreame Automotive, which concentrates on supercars, and Starry Automotive, dedicated to luxury SUVs. The newly unveiled vehicle is the company’s second project in this field, following the Chiron-inspired sports car.

Rolls-Royce Cullinan-inspired exterior and interior

On the outside, the design makes a strong impression, with a chrome grille, LED lighting and large alloy wheels. The shape of the pillars on Dreame’s model makes no attempt to conceal its inspiration from the British SUV built near Goodwood.

Thanks to its 3.2-metre wheelbase, the cabin offers enough room for the second row to feature two genuinely individual armchairs. These are equipped with everything one might expect to ensure the highest levels of luxury and comfort on board.

Electric SUV battery, motors and chassis technology

In technological terms, according to Car News China, Dreame’s electric SUV will use a 100 kWh battery pack and four independent electric motors. It will feature four-wheel steering and a chassis capable of adjusting its ride height and stiffness using LiDAR sensors, cameras and radar. An optional range extender may also be included in the electrical system.

When will it arrive?

Production will take place at a factory in Berlin, close to the Tesla Gigafactory, through a partnership with BNP Paribas. It is worth noting that the manufacturer had been considering building a factory in Brandenburg. As stated above, this new luxury electric SUV is expected to go on sale in 2027.

Despite its similarities to existing luxury models, Dreame aims to establish itself as a new competitor in the premium electric vehicle segment.
